Now Some Legal Stuff:
(1) The CAN-SPAM Act
The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.
If you are a player on a team, we only use your email address for event-related messages. While these may contain ads, they are not marketing emails and unless you change your contact preferences or leave the team, you can't remove yourself from these.
If you are a team owner, we use your email address to send emails to you after your initial registration. These may contain special offers from Simpler Sport or related companies, but we will never share your email address with our partners.
We will not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
We will allow you to unsubscribe from marketing email lists by using a link at the bottom of each email, and we will honor these requests immediately.
We will monitor our third-party email partners for compliance with these rules.
(2) COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under 13, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation's consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.
We do not specifically market to children under 13 and we do not expect children under 13 to use our website.
